Privacy Policy

JICSAW (“we”, “us”) is a shopping and housing comparison app. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Account information. If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored only as a secure hash — we never store your password itself).

Activity in the app. Items you save or watch and the contents of your bag, so the app works across your devices.

What we don’t collect. We do not collect payment card details (purchases are completed at each store, not on Jicsaw), precise location, contacts, or photos. Aside from the affiliate attribution described below, we do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and we never sell your personal information.

How we use it

We use your information only to operate the service: signing you in, syncing your saved items, and sending price alerts you asked for. We don’t use it for advertising.

Affiliate links

Jicsaw is free to use and is supported by affiliate partnerships: when you click through to a store from Jicsaw and buy something, that store may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you.

To credit those referrals, our affiliate partner impact.com sets cookies and collects standard technical data on our website — such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the store links you click. This data is used to match a purchase at a store to the Jicsaw link that led you there. It is not used to build advertising profiles, and we don’t sell it. Sample data

Product listings link to real store product pages and show prices we verified by hand on the date marked on each listing — prices change, so always confirm at the store. Housing listings are sample data for demonstration and are not live offers.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and its data at any time from inside the app (Profile → Delete account) or on the web (Join → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. You can also email us and we’ll delete it for you.

Children

Jicsaw is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
